Thanks to our many wonderful landscape design and construction clients and the landscape contractors that we partner with on landscaping installation, Carex Design Group has had a great 2016. Here are the best landscaping projects of the year and our tips for creating these looks at your house:

Sevierville

Elements: Stone Patio, Fire Pit, Retaining Wall, Planting, Landscape Lighting
Landscape Design Tips for Getting the Look: There are various ways to get an outdoor fire element depending on your budget. For higher-end budgets, the outdoor fireplace is perfect. But to get the look for less, choose a stone fire pit option like the below or even opt for a portable option like those you can find at your local home improvement store.

Elements: Paver Pool Deck, Landscape Lighting, Pergola, Fire Pit, Planting
Landscape Design Tips for Getting the Look:  With over 30 outdoor light fixtures accenting trees, patios and walkways, lighting played an important role in this design.  Since LED lighting is easy to add to over time, a less expensive option is to design the system but only install a few light fixtures initially.  Then, as your budget allows you can add the additional lights.

Elements: Paver Pool Deck, Outdoor Kitchen Pavilion
Landscape Design Tips for Getting the Look: To provide everything on this family’s wish list we had to make budget-friendly material choices. High-end blocks and pavers can exhaust a budget, so we worked with this client to find alternatives that still allowed for the size, shape and use of the space that they wanted.

Landscape Design Tips for Getting the Look: To ensure you have show-stopping plants in your landscaping, try grouping affordable plants like grasses or Knock Out Roses into clumps and opt to spend more money on a single focal plant like the Contorted Filbert or Japanese Maple below.
