Over the past several weeks, I’ve shared with you two of my favorite landscape lighting fixtures—In Lite recessed landscape lights and Star light landscape lights. For the third and final post in this series, it’s time to get artistic with silhouette bollards for your Knoxville Landscaping.
About Silhouette Bollards
Most landscape lights leave a little to be desired during the daytime because the fixtures aren’t usually attractive. In all fairness to the folks who design landscape lighting fixtures, they’re typically intended to be hidden in the landscaping rather than on display. Their time to shine (pun intended) is at night. However, silhouette bollards provide the best of both worlds because they cast a beautiful pattern of light at night and serve as an artistic sculpture during the day.
Where to Use Silhouette Bollards
To get the best out of silhouette bollards, I suggest using these in one of several ways:
Integrated Into Your Deck Railing Instead of Posts
Incorporated Into Your Landscape Planting Bed
Installed at an Entryway as Columns
Any of these applications will make a statement in your Knoxville landscaping.
Carex Design Group’s Pick
There are many styles and brands of silhouette bollards. Some are simple but I prefer the fixtures that are on the more artistic side. The Deco Drive by Dauer Lighting is one of my favorites because it casts a swirled pattern of light that’s unique.
