Knoxville landscape architecture firm, Carex Design Group is proud to welcomes new landscape designer Hailey Wright to its team.

Hailey joins Carex Design Group from her undergraduate studies in Sustainable Landscape Design from the University of Tennessee Knoxville.

“As the demand for landscape architectural services continues to grow, we’re excited to also be growing our design team.” said Carex Design Group owner and landscape architect Bob Graves. “Hailey’s knowledge of the local flora and general horticultural knowledge as well as her strong computer drafting skills will make her an invaluable addition to the team.”

During her studies, Hailey participated in an internship with a local landscape nursery that offers landscape design services. Through that experience, Hailey gained tremendous knowledge in computer drafting and plant selection while honing her on-site skills in site surveys. The position also exposed Hailey to landscaping sales and customer relations.

“My inspiration in landscape design is rooted in the integration of form and function,” said Hailey. “While I love creating a design that’s visually pleasing, I also savor the challenge of satisfying the functional requirements as well.”

“As a design team, we listen intently to our clients to ensure we understand how they’d like to use the space,” said Bob. “We’ve done our jobs well if the end result not only delivers a solution to the needs, but also builds upon it, using our extensive experience to solve problems the client may not have even known that they had.”
