We recently visited John Deere Landscapes in west Knoxville, Tenn. to check out some of our favorite plants for Knoxville landscaping. Watch the video below to find out more about Kaleidoscope Abelia.
Plant Name:
Kaleidoscope Abelia
What It Needs:
Kaleidoscope needs partial sun to full sun and will only need to be watered periodically (when we go through short-term periods of drought).
What It Looks Like:
This low-growing shrub boast beautiful green leaves that turn into a very vivid golden/yellow variegation. The stems are red, adding to the contrast in colors (and the reason it got its name).
More Cool Reasons Why We Love It:
Kaleidoscpe Abelia has a very long growing season that includes long periods where the plant shows off its white blooms. This shrub is also great for more remote homes as it is deer resistant.
